This list was generated by mining the online version of Platts' Dictionary, and is a verbatim copy of the entries therein. This list may not be exhaustive & complete.

H اجوانا उजवाना ujwānā [S. उन्दय˚, caus. of उद् 'to flow'], v.t. To cause a person to pour (water, &c.) from one vessel into another; to cause to be emptied; to empty (a vessel, &c. cf. ujhālnā); ujwā-lenā v.t.=ujwanā.

It is also used to form statical verbs: e.g. rote ānā, 'to come weeping.')

H انگڙانا अंगड़ाना angṛānā [caus. from S. अग् or अङ्ग्], v.n. To twist the body, stretch the limbs; to yawn; to roll and toss about in bed (see the more common agṛāʼī lenā, s.v. angṛāʼī).

H انگهانا अंघाना aṅghānā = aghānā, q.v.

H اوڙهنا ओढ़ना oṛhnā [oṛh˚ = Prk. ओवेड(इ), fr. S. उपवेष्ट], v.t. To cover with, to put on, wear;--s.m. (S. आवरण+कः), Covering, sheet, coverlet, quilt; a woman's sheet or mantle (covering the head and the upper half of the body):--oṛhnā utārnā (-kā), To remove the covering or veil (of); to expose, defame:--oṛhnā uṛhānā, v.t. To cover (one) with a sheet or mantle; to marry (since, among villagers, in marrying a widow a sheet or mantle is thrown over her):--oṛhnā-bićhaunā, s.m. Covering and bedding:--orhnā gale-meṅ ḍalnā (-ke), To throw (her) mantle on the neck (of), to seek justice against (in doing which, an insulted woman, in former times, used to throw her mantle round the neck of the man who insulted her, and dragged him to the king for justice).

H اوسنا औसना ausnā [aus˚ = Prk. ओवस(इ) or अववस(इ)=S. अपवस(ति), rt. अप+वस्], v.n. To become musty; sticky, &c.=ubasnā, q.v.

H اوسننا ओसन्ना osannā [S. उद्, or अव+श्राण?], v.t. To knead dough, &c. (=gūṅdhnā).

H اوکنا ऊकना ūknā (see ūk), v.n. To fall short, fail (of, a duty, &c.), to miss, slip, blunder (=ćūknā, q.v.):--ūke-ćūke, adv. By mistake, inadvertently, unwittingly; now and then, once in a way.

H اينٿنا ऐंटना aiṅṭnā [S.आवर्त्तनीयं, आ+वृत्त्], v.t. & n. To twist, &c.=aiṅṭhnā (the more common form).

H اينٿهانا ऐंठाना aiṅṭhānā (caus. of aiṅṭhnā, q.v.), v.t. To twist, turn, wring; to cause to writhe; to cause to strut, &c.

H اينچنا ऐंचना aiṅćnā, एंचना eṅćnā, ईंचना īṅćnā [aiṅć˚ = Prk. आयंछ(इ) or आइंछ(इ)=S. आकर्क्ष्य(ति), the fut. (used in the sense of the present) of rt. आ+कृष्], v.t. To draw, pull, drag, attract; to string up, hang (usually aiṅć-denā); to draw or rule (a line, &c.); to write, scribble; to sketch; to keep or hold back or aloof:--eṅć-tān-ke, adv. With difficulty, by hook or by crook:--aiṅć-denā, intens. of and=aiṅćnā:--aiṅć-lena, v.t. To draw out; draw up, draw in, imbibe, absorb, suck up; to take, take in; to take away by force, carry off (usually eṅć-le-jānā), wring from, extort.

H اينڐانا ऐंडाना aiṅḍānā, (caus. of aiṅḍnā, q.v.) To cause to roll or sway from side to side, &c.; to put in the scale, to weigh roughly.

H اينڐالنا ऐंडालना aiṅḍālnā, (caus. of aiṅḍnā, q.v.) To cause to roll or sway from side to side, &c.; to put in the scale, to weigh roughly.

H اينڐنا ऐंडना aiṅḍnā (another form of aiṅṭnā, q.v.), v.n. To strut, stalk, swagger (=aiṅṭhnā); to roll or turn from side to side, to roll about (as in bed); to stagger or reel (like a drunkard); to lie idle, loll about.
